Hi all.

Does anyone else think that structure of our forum is bit confusing...err...i might use word "messy" ratherly to be honest  Roll Eyes
Personally (and im the one to blame lol) i think that time to time it is hard to decide to where place a topic about something, since it is not clear where it belongs. I am not the only one though, few other peoples has given similar thoughts to me.

However, i would appreciate your feedback about this issue. I also add here a _suggestion_ about new structure. If you think it is worth of more negotiations, ill gladly hear about it. There is no changes made unless clear majority of replies support them.

No hurry with this one, take your time.

Thanks.

I like the current structure, but I also like your suggestion. I think the structure is not so important as long as sections are well marked what they are for.

Note: You have a double entry: feedback appears both in the basicprogramming.org section and Miscellaneous

Is there any way we can get a "todays posts" heading. I mean like when I see a new post on the main screen, I click on it to read it, and sometimes forget to look under that heading and  miss recent posts. Forgetfulness on my part I guess, but it could help others as dumb as me.

I may be missing something here on my browser ?

What I mean is that say for example the main page shows under Coffee table, "Humour topic by Derek", so I click on it and read it. However if I don't click on "the Coffee table" heading, I miss other posts immediately before Derek's. Am I making myself clear ?, I've  had a couple of drams.

Perhaps if "Humour topic by Derek" wasn't accessible without clicking on  "Coffee table" then selecting it, it may be better.

I fear I'm digging a big hole for myself here  Smiley Do I make sense ?

@EK: Some forums allow you to show a list with posts since the last time you logged in, or within  the last 24 hours. That would be nice to have.

In general, I'm fine with the current structure, except for the double entry for Yabasic and SDL (unter the files Interpreters and Development). The grouping you suggested seems more appropriate to me.

Cheers,

syzygy

Thanks syzygy, that's more or less what I wanted to propose.
