Dear friends,

I would like to announce here release of the first ThinBasic game with OnlineScoring system.

New ThinBasic beta comes with module to upload scores on thinBasic server, which makes competing in games quite fun.

The first game is "Peg Solitaire" - game about jumping with ... pegs Smiley
So far, nobody managed to finish the game with 1 peg left, are you brave enough to try it, and write your name forever to hall of fame?

Do not hesitate, and visit this link:
Peg Solitaire Download

to get: source code of the game + Windows ( I know I know ) executable of the game.
Only the EXE form allows the OnlineScoring, to avoid cheating.

You may also want to try ThinBasic 1.7.8.0 BETA from here:
Latest announcement

Let us know and have fun Smiley,
Petr

Hi E.K,

I am sorry, I did not tested it under Wine. Oh no :'(.
I will do more tests on my Ubuntu machine, I think Wine did not liked rendering to surface on dialog.

Hi E.K.,

I am being little bit pressed by time.

I tried some temporary workarounds, like using dialog and separate window or just one big window, but it looked very odd to me to solve it like this. I am currently in very stressy time, so instead of quickly done dirty port for Linux@WINE, I will wait till situation settles here and I will create usable Linux version ( I will contact WINE authors too on some details ).

Thanks for understanding,
Petr

Hi E.K.,

I spent some time on seeking the solution for this problem, and there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel.
Please see this: http://wiki.winehq.org/OpenGL?highlight=%28opengl%29

The two proposed solutions are not acceptable for me (blitting is not the way to get performance you would expect when using HW accelerated graphic API), but there is a link to fix at the top of the page.

If you will find some spare minutes, please let me know if it helped to solve the problem with OpenGL inside window controls.
