blassic is not available at ubuntu repositories for some weird reason. Anyway, this uberneat old-school basic is damn easy to install.

Open console and type; sudo apt-get install libstdc++5
Go to; http://blassic.org/
Download DEB blassic_0.8.1-1_i386.deb from about middle of the page and let your debian package handler install it.
Type in console blassic and you are ready to rumble.
