I suggest you to fire up some main page at google.sites or related place, with simple index/about (with rss.feed/recent posts from forum) from where you offer a link to that forum. Bad part of those free forum hostings is that, bots by search engines does not follow them closely. Mostly because 75% of them are abandoned or removed only a few weeks after launching.

So fire-up some main page like at google.sites, or incase you like to do it from a scratch, i can give you subdomain (foo.basicprogramming.org) with few tens of megs space.

But only with freehosting forum, i think it might be a pretty rocky road.

Did you check can you add google analytics or possibly some other things they offer to your forum?

No, had no time to check about google analytics. Idea with index page is great, will do that on WE. (Hehe, on Sat. we've got a Holiday in Germany, so two days off Wink

)
But, hey, we've got 2 members now! Hopefully there will be more, maybe some "geeks" who can help with Vala/Genie problems.
I also posted to the mailing list, let's see what happens.

I just download vala-working base and must say that i'm little bit
disapointed.
First of all there is no editor Huh

Second unpacked zip file is to big - 105 MB Shocked

I will try download vala ide separatly and see what will be...

You need those two files:

vala-0.7.7.exe (This is the compiler)
valide-0.5.1.exe (The IDE)

Vala uses on my HDD 54,2 MB and ValIde 12,1 MB, don't know why it uses 105 MB on your disk...

I just download and try.
Not working properly on my Xp at all.
Vala IDE open and when i try to open something the just dont respond Huh

It seems that have some problems on windows...
