All of these little objects I have been publishing may have seemed a bit random, but were developed to support this. This version will be closer to my original vision for the game. It is not as ambitious as I had planned for SOL which makes it more doable given my crowded schedule.

Hi,

those screenshots look very good. You must be proud of this game.

Im pleased to see, you are working for new DDD.

I have wondered a wikipage from where to link some great and neat basic games, and DDD would definately be there. So if someone who havent tried it out reads this, go and give it a try Wink

I have added some info on the game mechanics to the DDD2 page which you might find interesting.

http://rickclark58.googlepages.com/deepdeadlydungeonsii

All of this (when in a final form) will go into the game manual, so I thought I would start jotting down the notes now as I work on them.

Just a little update here. As I was working on this, I decided I didn't want to do the same old run of the mill roguelike game, so I have been refactoring the game. I have decided to go with a card mechanic for the game, while keeping the RPG elements of the original. Here is a pic of the monster card design, which is of course subject to change.

Several people have asked this. The problem is finding decent graphics for this, which I haven't really found yet. It would make the game a bit more interesting I think.

I don't remember the context here. Could you point me to the place you saw this? I might have been talking about the old game Lemmings.

Well folks it has come time for me and FreeBasic to part company. I won't be using FB for any future projects, including DDD2. I am going to restart DDD2 using C++ and SFML. I am posting updates to my blog about the game. Look for the DDD2 tag.

Since this is a Basic forum, I won't spam you all about the game; just wanted to let you know what is going on in case you are interested.

I'll still visit here of course, and my post my dabbling with other Basics like Vintage.
