Mainly because I want to expand my C++ skills and I have taken FB about as far as it will go. The compiler isn't being actively updated and although there is talk of some enhancements, there is nothing there that interests me. Since I have limited time in my schedule, I decided that expanding my C++ skills would be a better use of my time.

Not that I want to take any of the fun of learning to use C++ and SFML better, but if you run into any issues you can't resolve, feel free to throw me a PM, I've worked a lot with C++ (Along with SFML) and I'll gladly try to help if I can.

Well rdc, though im bit sad about your decision, i do understand it pretty well. FB had it's glory moments but to be honest, it has not been interesting one for me for a long time due several reasons. What you mentioned rings my bells too beside of few other issues.

For curiosity, why C++ and not C? Though C++ is more advanced and a great programmer like you propably gets 10 times more fun out of it than from C.

We have here a Other programming languages subforum too, so dont be a stranger. Your knowledge and experience is something i would not want to loose from here  Wink

I think I know what you mean by other issues. That was a big factor for me as well.

Since C++ supports C, you can get the best of both worlds. Most libs though are C++ nowadays so it just makes sense.

Well i think that Fb is very close to C++ syntax and all that stuff
conected with c/c++ language but I personaly dont like c++ to much
infact c++ style languages are simply not for me.
By the way FB is not language for me to , FB is great language i mean
that there is no basic language which is so close to c/c++ like FB.
So RDC good luck in C++ environment especialy if you need c++ for some
comercial stuff.
